Knives Out

Title Sequence

This project features Rain Johnson’s famous Knives Out through an elaborate display of illustrated designs for a stylized title sequence. The premise of the movie revolves around the murder of Mr. Thromby, a wealthy crime novel author with a large and entitled family.  The illustrations sweep the audience away and intertwine with one another to create visually interesting and seamless transitions. Each illustration takes direct inspiration from the movie and is a depiction of the cast member’s character persona. Bright contrasted colors and textures give the piece a punchy and mysterious feel as the audience becomes entranced.
