The Museum of African Diaspora, or MOAD, is a contemporary art museum located in San Francisco, California, that celebrates Black cultures and inspires awareness and learning of the African Diaspora. MoAD is located around the corner from MOMA and is often overlooked by visitors who are trailblazing to the modern art museum. However, their community is strong, and their involvement in the community is active. MoAD wants to be highlighted in a way that sparks curiosity in the minds of tourists walking around the streets of downtown San Francisco. They want to focus on what sets them apart from the other museums in the area, and they desire to bring that vision to the public. MoAD
